Zahara - The interesting Fishing Village in Cadiz

When going on a holiday to a well chosen destination in Spain, it is only advisable that you take the time to enjoy everything that the place has to offer. Apart from visiting all the monuments, enjoying the beaches and other natural ground and even taking part in the popular fiestas, it pays to take the time to explore the different parts of the destination since even the villages and small towns have interesting things to add to your holiday experience in Spain.

Cadiz has proved to be a great province to be in and as long as one is willing to dig deeper into the province, a great memorable holiday is guaranteed. Among the many places to visit here include Zahara found near Tarifa. This fishing village only appeared on the world map in the 1970s as a result of the attraction it had to tourists who especially came here to see the desert beaches which are magnificent.

Fishing is still an activity in Zahara and you will find lots of fishermen doing what they love best especially during early summer. Tuna fishing is popular and since the migration of the species takes part in summer, you will find the men busy at work during this period. The quality of the tune from this area is unmatched and meets the international standards with the biggest buyer being Japanese market but it is also a delicacy for the locals.

Zahara has a wide beach that has fine sand that is golden and waters that are crystal clear. It is from this beach that you will enjoy the beauty of the village and beautiful African Coast views not forgetting those romantic sunsets. It stretches all the way to Cabo de Gracia cape and has a blue flag from European Union of quality. Since the beach here is sea open, there is always fresh winds which are ideal for wind surfing. This is therefore one of the sports activities that you will get to enjoy while on the beach, costa blanca.

Summer is definitely the peak season in Zahara but the paradise can also be enjoyed during any other time of the year since the climate is friendly. It can however be lonely during the rest of the year. You might want to check out special attraction which are very near Zahara among them Baelo Claudia which are Roman Ruins.
