Quaint Algorfa Village for Discovery

Algorfa is another village that is located in Vega Baja just like Albatera. Its location in the lush and fertile countryside brings on different fresh vegetation with the irrigation of Segura River. Algofa is blessed with majestic mountains and the Mediterranean Sea as its backdrop.

The Christian Re-Conquest took over this quaint village in the 14th century with King Alfonso II as head of the Valencia kingdom. Many ancient structures that have been built with each varied civilization have been well preserved.

Algorfa continues to thrive in its traditional industry even with a small population. The locals are very hospitable and take on an easy lifestyle with great celebrations at all local festivals.
