Enchanting Isles of Huelva


Huelva has many beautiful isla or isles. These are small islands that are around the main land with beautiful sceneries and idyllic beaches; making them a delightful choice of holiday location.

Isla Canela

The island of Canela is located between Guadiana River and Carretas River. The bridge of Ayamonte connects this island to the Iberian Peninsula. There are 7 kilometers of beaches and dunes at Canela Island.

The beaches of Canela Island boast of fine white sand to lure many visitors every summer.

The beaches are close to the Marismas National Park which is actually on Isla Cristina y Ayamonte. There is also a well maintained marsh land which is home to many species of rare and exotic birds like the spoonbill and avocet. One can enjoy Isla Canela on foot, horseback or by bicycle to explore the nature trails from Ayamonte. A delightful boat trip over Carreras River will add on further satisfaction to one’s holiday on this island.

The beach amenities are modern and of top quality which attract large crowds during the summer. The port at this island is a hive of activity with its fresh sea catches which makes it ideal to enjoy fresh sea food.

Isla Cristina is one of the best places to view beautiful sunsets of reddish tones reflected on the waters.

Islantilla and La Antilla

These beaches are in between Lepe and Isla Cristina with luxury hotels and a great golf course. There is sunshine almost throughout the year with the offering of a tantalizing gastronomy offering and natural landscapes that make this a true paradise.

Islantilla has pine trees beckoning the Atlantic Ocean and outstanding garden landscapes along its beaches, location costa brava espagne .

Playa de la Antilla is quieter than Islantilla with more visits by the locals. One can enjoy the excellent virgin beach Flecha del Rompido which is protected by the authorities.
